The first 90 days after your property website goes live

Launch day feels like the finish line. The site is up, the design looks right, and you have shared the link in every WhatsApp group you belong to.

It is actually the start. What you do in the next three months decides whether the website becomes a working part of your business or a link nobody clicks. Here is a plan that fits around a normal working week.

Week one: check it like a stranger would

Before you tell anyone else, use the site the way a buyer would. Use your phone, on mobile data, not the office Wi-Fi.

  • Open every page and look for anything broken, blank or wrong.
  • Check every price, area and RERA number against your own records.
  • Tap the phone number and the WhatsApp button. Do they reach the right person?
  • Fill in your own enquiry form. Did the alert arrive, and did it land in your inbox or in spam?
  • Search your business name on Google and see what appears.

If the enquiry alert went to spam, fix that before anything else. It is the most expensive problem a new site can have, and it is usually a settings issue rather than anything wrong with the site. We explain it in why enquiry emails land in spam.

Tell Google you exist

Google finds new websites on its own eventually, but you can help it along.

Set up Google Search Console. It is a free tool from Google that shows whether Google can read your pages, and which searches your site has appeared in. Add your site to it, and submit your sitemap, which is simply a list of every page on your site in a form Google reads. Many website platforms, ours included, build this list automatically from your listings. Your provider can tell you where it is.

Then connect the dots. Add your website link to your Google Business Profile, the listing that shows your office on Google Maps. If you have not set one up yet, do it now; we have a guide to setting up a Google Business Profile. Put the web address on your visiting cards, your email signature, your WhatsApp Business profile and your office board.

Weeks two to six: fill it with real stock

An empty site gives buyers and Google very little to go on. Use these weeks to add your full stock, properly.

Every listing should have real photos, the price or an honest range, the area in square feet with whether it is carpet or super built-up, and a description that says something specific. Put the work in here rather than rushing twenty listings with two lines each.

This is also the time to ask recent happy clients for a Google review. Ask them personally, soon after the deal, and send a direct link. A handful of genuine reviews from real clients says more than anything you can write about yourself.

If you know one or two localities better than anyone, write a proper page about each. Where the schools are, how the traffic behaves at 9 am, what a typical flat rents for. That knowledge is something nobody else can copy. We explain how in locality pages buyers actually search for.

Months two and three: read what Google tells you

By now Search Console should be showing some data. Open the Performance report. It lists the searches your site appeared for, how many times it was shown, and how often someone clicked.

Look for patterns. You may be appearing for a locality name you had not thought about, or for a type of property you only listed once. Those are hints about what to write or list next.

Keep a simple note, too, of every enquiry: which property it was about and how the person found you. Ask callers directly. Over a few months, that note will tell you more than any report.

What not to expect yet

Be realistic about this stage. Your own business name should start showing up in searches before long. Broad, busy searches, the kind like "flats for sale in Hyderabad", are a much longer game. It is normal for a new site to get very little from those in its first three months, and it is not a sign of failure. We have written honestly about how long ranking really takes.

So judge the first ninety days on what you control. Is every listing current and complete? Did every enquiry get a quick reply? Have you written about the places you know best? If the answer is yes, you have done your part. Search results respond to that work over months, not weeks.

This week, block one hour in your diary for the week-one checks above. Do them yourself, on your own phone, and fix whatever you find before you share the link any further.

03 · If this was useful

Every site we build does the technical half of this for you, from the first day.

Each property published in the form Google and AI assistants read, pages that arrive complete, and a sitemap built from your listings. We will not promise you page one. We will show you exactly what we do.
